The great 'shoot off'

My buddy and photographic mentor - Tara - came over to play yesterday...Tara is (in my opinion) the best wedding photographer on the whole sunshine coast, check out her work at http://www.taraleephotography.com.au/. ( I should also mention that she doesn't just do weddings - she does portraits, families, kiddies, babys, puppies etc...but I didn't really tell you that because she is my competition after all) ANYWAY...we both have new cameras so we decided to check out the difference between the two and also the difference between our styles. Tara is shooting with the new fabulous Canon 5D Mark II and I am shooting with the Canon 50D - (for those who are interested)

She also snuck in a few of me taking photos

The happy Hargreaves

Today I had the privilage of photographing this very happy family. They were so much fun to hang out with...Thanks guys, I enjoyed every minute of our session together today.

About Me

My photo
I have been fascinated with the art of photography for as long as I can remember...I have dabbled in it for years but my 'obsession' didn't really take hold until the birth of my son, Zavia. I was so upset by the lack of good photos we had from his first few weeks of life that it has become my challenge ever since to take as many beautiful images of him as possible. I realised how important it was to capture all of those little moments that shoot past so quickly...and why stop at photographing Zavia when I obviously have a (I hate to use this word...but...) passion for photographing children and families. That's how 'Sprout Photography' was born. You can check out my website at Sproutphotography.com.au
